Program Requirements

Oak Grove Sanctuary Palm Springs is a licensed Transitional Housing Placement Program for Non-Minor Dependents (THPP-NMD), created specifically to support LGBTQ+ youth ages 18–21 as they transition from foster care to independent adulthood.

Residents may stay in the program for up to three years, as long as they continue to meet program expectations and actively participate in their personal growth journey.

Who We Serve

To be eligible for residency at Oak Grove Sanctuary Palm Springs, individuals must:

  • Identify as LGBTQ+

  • Be a current or former foster youth

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 21

Ongoing Resident Responsibilities

To remain in the program, residents are expected to:

  • Follow all house rules and respect shared and personal spaces

  • Obtain and maintain employment

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED, or be actively working toward one

  • Meet regularly with a Life Coach to set and pursue goals related to independence and personal development
